ScienceDaily (Jan. 26, 2012) — Stop wrangling over global warming and instead reduce fossil-fuel use for the sake of the global economy. That's the message from two scientists, one from the University of Washington and one from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, who say in the current issue of the journal Nature (Jan. 26) that the economic pain of a flattening oil supply will trump the environment as a reason to curb the use of fossil fuels.

Seabees from Naval Mobile Construction Battalions (NMCB) 3 and 74 took part in a training evolution last month that was the culmination of the efforts of a host of Naval Construction Force entities. The training was primarily to give NMCB 3 the necessary skills to run an asphalt paving plant identical to the one the battalion will be using on its upcoming deployment to Africa.

Team members of the Rabine Group will be speaking with students and new graduates at Roosevelt about job preparation. Schaumburg, Illinois (January 20, 2011) – On February 7th, Rabine Group members will be attending an event at Roosevelt University’s Schaumburg campus. New graduates and students will benefit by learning about the Rabine Group organization, resume presentation, what the Rabine Group looks for when recruiting and the importance of networking.

An OSHA Outreach 30 hour construction safety class will take place in January 2012 at the Rabine Group Auditorium in Schaumburg. Schaumburg, Illinois (January 16, 2011) – Rabine Group is hosting an OSHA Outreach 30-hour construction safety class in January of 2012. Completing the class will result in the distribution of the Rabine Group Training Certificate as well as a completion card from OSHA and the US Department of Labor.

CEO of Rabine Group, Gary Rabine, Joins Job Creators Alliance (JCA) to promote job growth in America. Whenever construction relevant subjects are discussed, the utilization of asphalt VS concrete usually creates a bit of controversy. This is especially true when the conversation concentrates on paving. Even the word paving these days can be used with describe mostly asphalt. But a revelation is pavement is any information chosen with built streets or driveways. The most common modern-day paving techniques however are asphalt and concrete. Both asphalt and concrete have a long history inside the building business due to the mix of the way the contents is chosen. However, regarding paving parking plenty and driveways the greatest argument has mostly been about initial expense.

Formidable ice up to 4 feet thick has delayed delivery of more than 1.3 million gallons of fuel to Nome, Alaska, and the Russian tanker plowing its way through the frozen sea now isn't expected to arrive until Thursday or Friday. As painful numbers go, try this: A typical American family spent nearly $4,200 on gasoline in 2011, more than any year ever before. Whether families end up pouring even more cash into their gas tanks during 2012 is an unknown. The answer, though, will likely have a major impact on economic growth and may even influence presidential politics as the November election approaches, market experts say. For now, the national average for a gallon of unleaded regular was $3.351 on Friday, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report. In Wisconsin the average price was $3.339, and in metro Milwaukee it was $3.347.
