High production technology such as 3D laser screed systems combined with the massive price increases of asphalt has created a very competitive environment between concrete and asphalt paving. Our engineers will build life cycle models which enable our customer to weigh annual cost comparisons. Concrete pavements create reflective light requiring less parking lot lighting.

CONCRETE ULTRALOT WHITETOPPING
UltraLot Whitetopping is the process of paving concrete over existing asphalt pavement. Areas of pavement failure and drainage problems are first addressed then state of the art milling machines are utilized to mill off asphalt to ensure quality base elevations. A 3D laser screed then precisely paves the concrete overlay while Wet Cut Concrete Saws panelize the surface. A special concrete mix design with fiber mesh, along with the panelized surface, is used to create a flexible, durable concrete pavement.

PERVIOUS CONCRETE PAVEMENTS - THE GREENEST PAVEMENT SOLUTION FOR STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
Pervious pavement takes concrete to the next level. Pervious concrete is specifically designed with little or no sand, which creates a void structure allowing stormwater runoff to drain and naturally filter through the pavement.  This runoff is naturally purified prior to being reabsorbed into the earth, replenishing ground water and aquifers and, in many cases, reducing the need for dry and wet detention areas.

Aside from these benefits, pervious concrete’s aesthetically pleasing look is created in part by its ability to be colored and textured to match any environment. This can be accomplished by incorporating integral coloring during the concrete mixing process or by applying a pigmented curing aid directly on the finished concrete surface.  Additional coloring may be applied once concrete has cured to achieve the desired esthetics.  Pervious concrete’s unique look and versatility make it a great sustainable, environmentally friendly option for any parking lot.
